The Gaither Family Trio

The very talented and amazing brothers Danny and Bill Gaither along with their wonderful and extremely gifted sister Mary Ann combined acoustic talents to form the Bill Gaither Family Trio in 1956. George and Lela Gaither are the proud parents of these bundles of singing joys. In 1962, Gloria Sickal united with Bill in marriage. They joined forces and created a song writing, singing, recording and publishing team that has stood the test of time and produced over 600 songs and more than 100 albums.

A few awards can be added to their credit, the title of Gospel Music Association’s “Songwriter of the Year” eight times, more then two dozen Dove awards and nomination and winning five Grammy Awards. ASCAP’s Christian’s Songwriters of the Century named Bill and Gloria Gaither. The Gaither’s have written songs printed in current hymnals such as “Because He Lives” and The King Is Coming.” They include classic gospel names in their album covers “Amazing Grace,” "How Great Thou Art” and “Rock of Ages.” They write and have written songs for Elvis Presley, Sandi Patti, The Statler Brother and other fantastic artists.

They have a publishing company, a television show (the Gaither Gospel Hour), recording company, retail store, music videos and a viewing audience that follows them all over the world. They have public performances promoting the gospel message and their unique style of music and the way they can deliver it. The reason Bill Gaither seems to always have a smile on his face is he says, "I truly enjoy helping other people win."
